I been on a hair journey
Here's a update on my hair journey since I have been away. In September I chopped off my hair because I wanted to start fresh to have a better curl pattern, and while doing so I gained so much confidence. Whenever you do a big chop you should try to stay natural such as doing protective styles, and if you straighten your hair use precautions. Though, in the beginning I really enjoyed my TWA (Teeny Weeny Afro), it was such a easy hairstyle I literally threw water and leave in conditioner to maintain my look. To accomplish other looks I used other natural hair care products. My advice to anyone wanting to try the big chop would be to stay positive because their will be days you ask yourself "What the heck did I just do", then it will be days you'll love it. Sometimes you'll even get stares which can be annoying. I personally kept it moving and embraced my look because in the end all the people who may hate on your hair will really hate the ending growth because once you chop it, the hair growth is real! Now, my hair is almost about bob length which is cute, and for the time being I have goddess locs as a protective style for the summer. I hope this motivates you to try the natural lifestyle, and if you already are I wish you the best on your journey as well as to the newbies. I can honestly say this journey has been a blessing to me because it opens up inner beauty that you might've thought was gone, and I really have so much confidence because of my hair. I always say do everything while you can, and don't have regrets. Love and Embrace who you are. I will continue to update you all on my journey.
