Dating? Or...Are you over it?
Us millennials are having a hard time dating, and I notice when I converse with women they tell me they are over it, and focusing on themselves. Now, I believe before you encounter any relationship you should of course focus on yourself, and find out what do you want in life. Enjoy who you are as a person, I like to call it "dating yourself". For example, go to a movie, take a trip, explore your surroundings. I feel as women we should learn to be alone, it's empowering to love your own company. A big mistake I find while dating is you may tend to lose yourself by giving so much of your energy to a person, and most of the time you don't realize it. The most important thing to ask "Who am I?", (if you are in that situation) regain your identity. If you are a woman who's content with being single, but not over dating, then I say, "Do you", especially if you are not ready for it right about now. So when women tell me dating is to much, and need a break, I understand. Once it's that time to get out there, dating is fun, and it's nothing wrong with being treated to a nice meal or a movie as my pastor says "Get that free meal" Lol. Dating in your twenties is possible, you just have to keep trying. When the one comes along, it will work out, you just have to put in the work. I always say pray, focus, and believe the one who is for you will find you. Embrace who you are, and everything falls in order. After all, we are young living life, take your time, and things come in due time.
